Newcastle Ravens 0 - Blyth Vets 36
Today saw the Ravens take to road to take on Blyth Vets and saw Newcastle Ravens managing to get 17 players and 10 supporters to this game.
Ravens game was disrupted early on with a bad shoulder injury to influential prop Micky who is now on the mend and being lined up for a game on the wing in a week or two.
The Ravens pack was pretty much dominated by a very experienced Blyth pack from start to finish with most scrums and line outs going the Blyth's way giving the backs very little ball to work with. However, the Ravens battled hard and brave and stood up and made the tackles when needed making Blyth wait 20 minutes to get their first try.
Again today seen three debutants, Neil, Jacob and Andrew - so congratulations to them on their first game for the Ravens and long may they continue to be members.
Man of the match was decided by the Blyth lads and today saw Jack Watson just pip Jacob for the honour, well done Jack.
